We hope you'll join us for the 105th Albertina Kerr Annual Meeting & Community Awards Luncheon in October 2012. More information coming soon!

Last year, award-winning author and nationally known public speaker Rachel Simon gave the keynote address at Albertina Kerr's 104th Annual Meeting and Community Awards on October 25, 2011.

Rachel is best known for her critically acclaimed memoir, Riding the Bus with My Sister. Rachel's sister, Beth, who has an intellectual disability, spends her days riding the buses. One day, Beth asked Rachel to accompany her on the buses for an entire year. This heartwarming story reminds us all the importance of community-based care and how to slow down and, most importantly, enjoy the ride. Her latest book, The Story of Beautiful Girl, appeared on The New York Times best sellers list.
