Dear dedicated race volunteers, 

On behalf of clients we serve, Board of Directors and staff of Albertina Kerr Centers, please accept my heartfelt thanks for your generous gift of volunteering on April 6th, 2008.  As a group, over 200 volunteers donated 1,091 hours of support the 10th annual Race for the Roses.  

Because of your support, the children and adults within our programs have experienced the generosity of the greater community.  Each volunteer helps to show that others truly care. You have impacted the lives of our community’s most vulnerable citizens: severely abused and neglected children, young people with significant mental health and behavioral problems, families in crisis, and individuals with developmental disabilities.

Please be assured that your gift of time is being put to good use.  Albertina Kerr Centers is not only effective but among the most efficient private, non-profit organization in Oregon with 91 cents of each dollar being spent directly on programs.  Your volunteer time is absolutely invaluable.  Volunteers truly "ran" the race.
